Only a fraction of the many prayer requests received in the past weeks…

“…please pray for our mother who is in bad health: Darlene Bateman. She goes into the hospital Oct. 4th.” Vickey Hester

“I am writing in hope that I can get you to send a copy of your calendar to a friend. Lisa turned to Christ the past few months, and is having some trying times with her health and predicament. Plz pray for her as well.” John Swiger

“I would like to request a prayer: That God will continue to keep me strong through Christ and give me everything I need in His will to accomplish the desires of good work I have in my heart through Christ Jesus.” Tommy Rey Finney

Prayer request from Linda Roberts to lift up her marriage, her son Benjamin, and all her family for peace and renewed spirits.

“I am writing to get prayers for my family, my children Kevin and Kevinia, also my husband, Gregory. He’s getting out of prison and going to a half way house. Pray that he stays strong in the Lord.” Stacy Cameron

Please pray for Sylvester White, Jerrie Coleman and family, Annie Allen and her family, William Pitman, Amber Roberts and her family, all the ladies at CMCF in Pearl, MS, and at Wicomico Co. Dept. of Correction.

For Dr. David E. Smith, Priscilla Boles and her family, Marcia Sofia Thompson and her children Jossette, Quinntin, Seth and husband Carl and their grandchildren.

“Please pray for all the offenders and staff here at Dawson State Jail.” Cathy Ware

For Lisa and Mark Duchane, protect them and keep them safe and bring them safely home in your grace, loving God.

For all of these, your children, wherever they are on their walk, You are with them, protect them and supply all their needs. We give you thanks that this ministry has been used to your glory, and that through your grace we have been blessed to touch so many lives. Keep on using us, Lord. Show us new ways of service. We believe. Amen.

I'm still here, somewhere...

It will soon be a month since my last post of prayer requests. I don't want anyone to think that we're just all kicked back, taking a month off! Actually, since mid-July, our requests for the New Day in Christ devotional calendar have increased fairly dramatically. At the same time, our regular work force has been cut in half by illnesses. So, instead of posting our prayer requests on-line, and other nice office stuff, I've been working hard pushing devotionals into envelopes, slapping on those mailing labels, and boxing them up to haul to the post office.

I give praise to our all-knowing God that the prayer requests sent in have been heard, even as they were first put into words. I give thanks for the sure knowledge that God provides for all of us in the manner most pleasing in his sight. We may be asking for relief from hard work, and God may instead provide endurance to stand the test. We may be asking for release from our bonds, and God may provide us with peace for living of each day. We may be asking God for all the answers, and God may be giving us the clarity of vision to see His way in due time.

Please lift up Karen in prayer. We are praying for her strength to return, for her doctors to be empowered by God to provide the means for her body to be healed from disease. We are praying that the fear in her heart will be replaced by faith that God will see to all her needs, and the needs of her family, during this difficult time.

And please lift a prayer for all the special requests received by this ministry. I hope soon to be able to post some of the prayer request received over the past weeks. But until then, know that there are many people who are in prison all across this state and this country who ask for your prayers. Remember them.
