Believe you receive...

“Believe you receive when you pray, confess the word, hold fast to your confession of faith in God’s word, allow your spirit to pray by the Holy Spirit. Praise God for the victory now before any manifestation. Walk by faith and not by sight.
P.S. I love you all, God does too.”
Cedric Lee Starts, Bryan, TX

Gracious God, we give thanks to you for all your creation. We praise you and we confess to you that we sometimes fail to believe with our hearts what we profess on our lips. Please send us your Spirit, so that our closed hearts will be opened, and our minds will see the wonder of your mystery. Let us believe, so that we might see! We lift these individuals to your everpresent care:

Veronica DeVaughn and her family to remain strong and steadfast in their love for you and for one another;

Kathy Taylor and her sister Tina Nabors who is battling breast cancer, strengthen and protect them;

Scharron Martin to find peace beyond understanding, upon the loss of her son Renny;

Sarah Robinson and her family to persevere in these times of testing, for their family to be renewed in your love;

Lisa Massey, lift her physical and spiritual burdens so that she may experience the fullness of joy that comes only from you;

Olivia Ann Sanchez and her baby Dominic, her father, Rudy to be free from addiction and strengthened to move forward in your grace;

Carol Woodard and Rodreick Thompson to accept your grace to change the direction of their lives, to become the parents that you intended them to be.

Sharlet Richardson lifts up her mother, Lenora, her sister Lawanda and her daughter Shynesha, keep and protect them in your love.

All the ladies of Dorm #2, East Carroll Parish, Riverbend Detention Center in Lake Providence, LA. Be with them, guide them, strengthen them in their walk with you.

Tyrome James, Jamie Winters, Julia Ida Miller, Patricia Nolan, Wendy Smith, Nancy and Vong Douangboupha and Brandy Shivers need to feel your presence in their lives today. Surprise them with your love!

We believe in miracles! Thanks be to God, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Bread of the World

“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” John 6:35

We praise you, God of life-changing grace.
We give thanks that, in our sinfulness, you offer us the perfect gift of your precious Son, Jesus.

Hear our prayer: help us persevere in our faith; to grow in grace;
strengthen us to set aside our own worldly comfort;
instead let us find comfort and sustinance in you alone, Oh God;
For we know that when we hunger for what the world has to offer, we will never be satisfied;
but the bread of life, who is Jesus Christ, will sustain us forever.

“Please pray for my son, Noah’s certain victory over alcoholism, and for my sister, Kelly’s immediate healing.” Dianna Contorelli, Houston, TX

“My husband, Michael Moses, and I are in jail. We have two small children. I’m asking for all to please put us on your prayer list to reunite with our children and family soon.” Rachel Moses, Tyler, TX

“My parents, Terry and Carole Lewis, are very ill. They have a lot of major health problems. I was wondering if you would pray for them.” Elaine Kerlin, Gatesville, TX

“I have a prayer request of strength and patience for inmates everywhere.” Sheryl Manley, Dallas, TX

For these, and all your children, we give thanks for your continued loving kindness.
In the name of Jesus Christ; who died and now rules over death;
and rose to new life, so that we too may live; we celebrate the mysteries of your glory!
Amen.

Prayer Requests

“Pray for me: that God would bless me with the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of His word; and to make me a better Christian tomorrow than yesterday, each day.” Bobby Joe Prillaman, Rocky Mt., VA

“I am trying to get to know Jesus and get closer to Him for my life to change for the best. I am a mother of 10, and tired of living this life of lonliness and fear. I understand now that I can’t do this alone. I need to let go and let God take over. Please pray for my oldest son Gonzalo Martinez. He is doing a life sentence in Colorado. And pray for my mom, Mary De La Garza, to be freed from cancer. And for my boss, Forrest Bordelon for being here for me and my kids. And pray for me to get my life on the right track. Pray for strength. Amen.” Ermelinda De La Garza, Dayton, TX

“Prayer request for my daughters, 22 and 25 yrs. Rachel & Sasha are their names. Pray for them to know and believe.” Rodney Powell, Auburn, CA

“Would you please put me, my 3 kids, Katelyin LeAnn, Nevaeh LaSha, and Carter James; and also please my mom Sheila Ann Bradley, in you Prayer Circle, for Jesus to watch over and protect us, by the blood of the Lamb.” Mary E. Carter, Bowling Green, KY

“Please put me on your prayer list. I pray for God to do his perfect will in my life, and to give me wisdom to understand, and the grace and courage to obey.” Angelia Tanner, LaFayette, GA

“Could you add me to your prayer list?” Brandy Withanington, Bartow, FL

“Please keep me in your prayers!” Katona Holly, Gatesville, TX

“I would like to ask to be in your prayers. I have seen parole on July 7, 2006 and now I’m waiting on a reply. It will really help me, you will also be in my prayers.” Priscilla O. Balle, Gatesville, TX

“Keep me in prayers.” Timothy Ray Lydia, Tennessee Colony, TX

“Pray for the Rose & Odom & Sykes family.” Ellen Faye Rose, Dayton TX

“How blessed I am by your daily devotional calendar. I am an inmate @ K.C.I.W. in PeWee Valley, as you may imagine there aren’t many ‘luxuries’ @ this facility. Yet I awake every morning to read a special message written on this calendar. Even though I am a prisoner, I am free in Christ Jesus. The daily devotional helps remind me of this. Please keep me and my family in prayer.” Devon Reed, PeWee Valley, KY
